Crazy Colorado Weather

On Friday, the weather was so great that Colton and I rode bikes and had an ice cream cone.

I think it’s the first cone he’s ever had (can you believe that Pops?!?).  He was pretty amazed to find that you can eat the CONE too.  We’re still working on the stryder bike skills.  For now, he walks very slowly with the bike between his legs.  It took us a loooong time to make it the 5 blocks to the park, but he didn’t mind.  Whenever we’re in the garage he says “red bike.  My red bike.”

On Saturday, we had 5 inches of snow!  It was bitter cold, but we took the 30 minutes it takes to dress a toddler for the snow and went on an adventure around the neighborhood.  The goal was sledding, but Colton had other plans.  Most of the time, he decided the sled was a pony and kept feeding it snowballs and pulling it along the path saying “Giddy up horsey!” Dad taught Colton how to make snow angels, and we eventually coaxed a few sled rides out of the pony owner, Colton.  We thawed out with apple cider and stayed inside for the rest of the weekend.  BRRRRRR!
